Abstract
In this webinar we focus on a reference design for a Software-Defined Radio (SDR) which includes multipath channel estimation and equalization with QR decomposition-based recursive least squares using the software-programmable AIE-ML vector processing resources in the AMD Versal AI Edge adaptive SoC.
This design details the development process of a complex channel estimation and decision feedback equalization algorithm, showing that a proof of concept can be quickly developed in spite of the complexity, and then subsequently improved to eliminate bottlenecks and increase efficiency to operate on low-SWaP parts used in space applications with power and thermal constraints.
We will also cover the latest roadmap on AMD Versal adaptive SoCs for space, including newly-announced products which will provide major increases in scalar and vector computing, and also feature embedded RF data converters for maximum integration in space-based communications and spectrum analysis applications.
In the partner session, Infineon will introduce its power management and memory solutions which enable AMD Versal™ Adaptive SoCs to achieve important functions and performance goals for RF communication in Space.
